The spring Fashion Week 2013 took place Feb. 7-14 in New York. Fashion Week is a time where the most popular designers collaborate to share a sneak-peek of styles for the upcoming spring season.

If you are a fashion buff, you may be wondering what is going to be in style for this spring? Here is a sampling of what leading fashion experts predict for spring.

Glamour.com says that black and white is going to be a big spring trend. Black and white together is simple yet timeless.

Harper's Bazaar magazine also states black and white is going to be a large part of spring styles.

At the Grammys, we saw this perfectly displayed by Beyoncé, who wore a unique black and white outfit with her hair pulled back, and red lipstick. Beyoncé was simple, elegant, and absolutely stunning.

GQ.com highlighted the fact that rapper Rick Ross sported a striking black Tom Ford suit, which was beautifully contrasted with his white shirt and black bow tie. He was looking very "boss-like" and his style was unforgettable. Glamour not only noted about black and white, but also bold stripes, leather and statement glasses for 2013.

Glamour, along with Elle.com, told us that "peek-a-boo" pieces are also on trend. Kelly Rowland worked a cutout dress at the Grammys quite well. Although usmagazine.com thought that her Georges Chakra Couture dress was far too risque, she did exhibit a stylish product of new fashion.

Elle.com guessed that lace would be a popular contribution to fashion this season. Country singer Carrie Underwood wore a beautiful, strapless, black lace Roberto Cavalli gown to the Grammys. Many people spoke about her choice of dress - and let's not forget her stunning diamond necklace, reportedly 380 carats, as she told "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest.

Vogue says bright bolds and neon plaids will also join the army of styles for spring.

We saw a taste of these new styles at the Grammys, and it can be assumed we will see even more of these fashion hints for spring at the Oscars. The 85th Academy Awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, Feb. 24.
