State Sen. Mark Grisanti, R-I-60, was reappointed as chairman of the environmental conservation committee and has also been appointed to sit on the finance committee in the New York State Senate.
"As a member of the powerful Senate finance committee, I will have oversight on the state budget, have a role at confirming all Senate nominations, and be able to vote on any piece of legislation that has a fiscal impact before it is sent to the floor of the Senate," Grisanti said.
In addition to serving as chairman of the environmental conservation committee and a member of the finance committee, Grisanti will also continue to sit on the following committees: higher education, veterans, homeland security and military affairs, insurance and labor.
