Conan O'Brien to blog live during the episode through Emmy-winning "Team Coco" tablet app

TBS has set Jan. 31, as the day "Conan" will become television's first late-night talk show to present an episode featuring scenes entirely re-created by fans.

In November, Conan O'Brien announced the formation of the "Occupy Conan" movement, challenging fans to work together to produce an entire episode. Fans immediately began re-creating scenes from "Conan" and jockeying to have their versions chosen for the final episode. The resulting episode will premiere on TBS Thursday, Jan. 31, at 11 p.m., sponsored by the all-new Volkswagen Beetle Convertible.

During the episode, O'Brien will be blogging live through the Emmy-winning "Team Coco" tablet app, available free at http://teamcoco.com/sync.

To be considered for inclusion in the "Occupy "Conan" episode, fans were called upon to tape re-creations of various "Conan" segments, such as stuntman Steven Ho teaching O'Brien self-defense, Anne Hathaway doing a Lil Wayne rap and the musical group Fun performing the hit "We Are Young."

Fans could work on segments by themselves or together with other fans. They had the freedom to use any method they wanted to recreate their favorite clip, from live action to animation to sock puppets. Team Coco then evaluated all eligible videos and assembled the best version of each segment into a complete "Occupy "Conan" episode.

In addition, the best overall submission, as selected by Team Coco, will be rewarded with the grand prize, an all-new 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible. The winner will be featured at TeamCoco.com.
