Learn about snowmobile safety

The Shawnee Sno-Chiefs Snowmobile Club, in cooperation with the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Co., will hold a New York state snowmobile safety course on Jan. 21 and 22 at the firehall, 3747 Lockport Road, Sanborn. This course is open to anyone age 10 and above.

A parent or guardian must accompany the student to registration to sign the permission slip or provide a signed note authorizing the student permission to take the course. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children.

Classes will be held from 4:30 p.m. (5 p.m. on Tuesday) to 9 p.m. Students must attend both nights to graduate. Pre-registration is required. Call Rodger at 716-731-2174.

Bring a pencil/pen and a snack. Soft drinks will be provided.
