The
Rose Liquor Store of Grand Island is giving its neighbors a hand by
assisting the Neighbors Foundation in its annual holiday food and
fund drive.
On
Saturday, Dave Dulak, manager of the store at 1771 Love Road,
presented the Neighbors Foundation $500 on behalf of the store and
its owner, Michael Hachee. Henry Kammerer of the Neighbors Foundation
accepted the donation. Cash donations support purchases of food for
the needy.
In
addition, Kammerer dropped off a collection box at the store to
accept non-perishable food donations.
Kammerer
said, "Our hope is to replenish our stock" in the local food
pantry after the holidays.
