The Town of Lewiston Highway Department reports leaf and brush pickups continue for town residents.
"With the city establishing a Dec. 1 cutoff and the village asking their residents to bag their leaves, I am getting quite a few calls every day from confused town residents," says Doug Janese, town highway superintendent. "I want the Town of Lewiston residents to be aware of the fact that the Highway Department will be picking up leaves and brush until the winter weather prevents us from doing so. There is no cut-off date for those services and leaves do not need to be bagged. Simply set the materials at the edge of the road for pick-up."
