The Buffalo Bills and the American Red Cross are again teaming up to host a community blood drive. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Ralph Wilson Stadium (Paul Maguire Club), One Bills Drive in Orchard Park.

Blood is always needed - in fact, every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood, and the only source is a generous volunteer blood donor.

"The American Red Cross hopes Bills fans will join us in making the commitment to help save lives by coming out to donate blood. Each blood donation can help save up to three lives and can make the difference in the lives of people in your community." said Kay E. Schwartz, CEO, American Red Cross Blood Services - New York-Penn Region.

All presenting donors will receive a free Buffalo Bills Red Cross T-shirt. There will also be drawings for many more great prizes*, including Bills tickets, autographed items and much more, The drive will also feature stadium tours, scheduled player appearances and other special guests such as the Buffalo Jills and Billy Buffalo. Free parking and refreshments will be available.

Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or by visiting redcrossblood.org.

The American Red Cross has been a primary supplier of lifesaving blood products in the U.S. for more than 50 years. Eligible volunteer blood donors are asked to call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to find a blood drive and to make appointments. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in New York), meet weight and height requirements (110 pounds or more, depending on their height) and are in generally good health may be eligible to give blood. Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of positive ID when you come to donate.

*All presenting donors are eligible. Prizes are nontransferable and not redeemable for cash.
