Students learn about careers in construction

Recently several classes from the BOCES Orleans and Niagara Career and Technical Education Centers took part in Construction Career Days in Lakeview, N.Y., which exposed high school students and adults to diverse careers in the industry. Students in Building Trades and the Conservation programs spent the day learning about career options and talking to experts in the field. "The construction industry is facing severe shortages of skilled workers," says Building Trades teacher Anthony Molinaro. "This day was designed to educate our youth about a professional industry that care about them and their future."
