NCTEC inducts 15 into National Technical Honor Society

The Niagara Career and Technical Education Center recently honored 15 students who were accepted into the National Technical Honor Society. The National Technical Honor Society is the highest award that can be given for excellence in career and technical education. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 and have completed a certain amount of credit hours. They must also have excellent attendance and disciplinary records.

Staff members from Orleans/Niagara BOCES, representatives from the students' home districts and family and friends were on hand as students accepted their pins and certificates of achievement. This year's senior honorees were: Brandon Alt in the emergency medical services program, Brian Alt in the conservation program, Alexander Busch in the auto mechanics program, Kaitlyn Fox in the early childhood education program, Nina Frye in the early childhood education program, Kyle Hanes in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration program, Nicholas Hawkins in the project based engineering program, Robert Marsh in the digital media/animation program, Daniel Nugent in the project based engineering program, Megan Perry in the cosmetology program, Michael Robins in the welding program, Daniel Ruble in the auto mechanics program, William Sattelberg in the digital media/animation program, Kathleen Siracuse in the health occupation technician program and Sarah Volmy in security and law enforcement program.
