Daniel Gómez Iñiguez, a 22-year-old multimillionaire, is coming to Niagara University on Tuesday, Nov. 13, to share his experiences and provide tips on how to become successful in creating a company with a global impact.
Sponsored by NU's Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (C.E.O.) and the College of Business Administration, the free, public event takes place at 7:30 p.m. in the Castellani Art Museum.
Gómez co-founded SOLBEN, an alternative energy technology company based in Monterrey, México, while still in high school. Gómez and his partners have developed biodiesel production technology designed to be accessible in a developing economy. The previous business model for producing biodiesel - a blend of vegetable oils or animal fats and diesel - relied on large, centralized production plants.
According to Inc. magazine, which named Gómez one of its 30 Under 30 entrepreneurs in 2011, SOLBEN's sales were more than $1 million in 2010 and about $3 million in 2011.
