November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month and George Edwards Jewelers, located at 2131 Sawyer Drive, Wheatfield, is "Going White" for the month of November to honor friends and customers who have suffered from this devastating disease.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the U.S., according to Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

All month, the store will sell raffle tickets for a "white basket," valued at $173, including a $50 gift certificate and a sterling silver pearl tin cup necklace and earrings. A 15 percent discount will be offered on pearl and diamond jewelry (excluding estate jewelry).

George Edwards is donating 5 percent off those sales and $5 for every "Just What I Wanted" Chamilia limited edition Christmas bead. Plus, all of the proceeds of the sales of small "white" polishing cloths ($3 each) will be donated for research. Proceeds will be sent to Team Cure, a benefit for Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
