Niagara USA is hosting the airlines' Africa/Middle East sales conference

Delta Air Lines is holding its Africa/Middle East sales conference this week in Niagara Falls, USA, at the Sheraton at the Falls. The Niagara Tourism & Convention Corp. has welcomed 75 of Delta's top general sales agents from Africa and the Middle East, plus Delta executives. The group is attending seminars and team building exercises that showcase the region, in addition to a corporate meeting with Delta executives.

Attendees are from a total of 22 countries in Africa, the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East, including Angola, Bahrain, Egypt, Ghana, Israel, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Liberia, Nigeria, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, United Arab Emirates, Uganda and Zambia.

Jimmy Eichelgruen, Delta's director of sales for Africa, Middle East and Indian Subcontinent, said the NTCC was proactive in landing his sector's annual meeting. Eichelgruen, who is based in London, said it was easy for employees to fly into the Buffalo Niagara Region.

"We are pleased to see that Niagara USA is appealing to Delta Air Lines' top employees, and that they chose us as their fall meeting destination," said John Percy, NTCC president and CEO. "I am confident this international audience will share what Niagara USA has to offer to their clients when they return home."

Delta employees have the chance to explore Niagara USA, including a ride on the Maid of the Mist and tour of the Cave of the Winds. The group will also be dining at The Como Restaurant and Becker Farms/Vizcarra Vineyards. Members will spend an afternoon at the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls USA and take an adventure on the Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours attraction.

Delta Air Lines serves more than 160 million customers each year. Delta was named domestic "Airline of the Year" by the readers of Travel Weekly magazine, was named the "Top Tech-Friendly U.S. Airline" by PCWorld magazine for its innovation in technology, and won the Business Travel News Annual Airline Survey.

The mission of the NTCC is to expand the economic prosperity of the Niagara USA communities by generating individual and group visitation.
