Event set for Friday, Oct. 12, at Southeast Works

Candidates for congress, state senate and assembly, and county legislator have all accepted invitations to be a part of the 2012 "Candidates Hour" at Southeast Works in Depew.

The 25 confirmed thus far include Chris Collins, Kathy Hochul, Pat Gallivan, Mark Grisanti, Tim Kennedy, Dennis Gabryszak and Jane Corwin.

This year's event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, and will again take place in the agency's auditorium.

This format allows candidates to speak unfiltered and uninterrupted, as each addresses issues of concern to their constituencies, including the special needs of the developmentally disabled people served by Southeast Works.

Along with those served and agency staff, "Candidates Hour" is also open to the community at large, as well as members of the media.

Then entire event will also be videotaped for later broadcast on Time Warner Cable.

This 17th annual "Candidates Hour" is hosted by Southeast Works, in partnership with the Developmental Disabilities Alliance of Western New York.
