Seven-city casting call begins for Dwayne Johnson's 'The Hero'

Los Angeles, Boston, Dallas, Chicago, New York City, Nashville and Minneapolis to host the contestant search, beginning Oct. 13

Electus and 5x5 Media are embarking on a seven-city U.S. casting call for TNT's upcoming competition series "The Hero," which will be headlined and executive-produced by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The producers of "The Hero" are looking for competitors who display the physical, mental and emotional strength to participate in a battle of brains, brawn and morality, resulting in one winner being named the ultimate hero.

TNT has ordered eight episodes of the series, which is slated to premiere in summer 2013.

Below is a complete roster of locations for "The Hero" casting call. Sessions will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (local time).
