On Friday, Assemblyman John D. Ceretto participated in the ribbon-cutting for Niagara County Community College's Culinary Institute. In 2010, as a Niagara County legislator, Ceretto sponsored the Niagara County resolution authorizing the Rainbow Mall Centre as the location for the institute.

"Today's ceremony is the realization of a lot of hard work," Ceretto said. "This culinary institute is a partnership between the City of Niagara Falls, the County of Niagara, the state of New York and private interests. It's a home run for Niagara Falls. I was proud to sponsor the resolution choosing this site for the culinary institute, and today's events convince me even more that it was the right location."

Ceretto participated in the ribbon-cutting with several dignitaries, including New York Lt. Gov. Robert Duffy, State Sen. George Maziarz, Niagara County Legislature Chairman Bill Ross, Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster and NCCC President Dr. James Klyczek.

"I congratulate Dr. Klyczek on this wonderful facility," Ceretto said. The presence of Niagara County Community College in downtown Niagara Falls is extremely welcomed. The graduates of the culinary institute will become stakeholders in the future of Niagara Falls as they take their talents and help revitalize the every day experience in Niagara Falls. I am proud to play a role in this success story."
