Kids can make the most of their Columbus Day holiday with a visit to the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum. Get into the fall spirit with some old-fashioned fair activities. Try your hand at popular midway games like a can toss, and make some fair-themed crafts to take home, including a carrousel horse (of course) and "cotton candy."
Mark your calendar to join in on Monday, Oct. 8, between noon and 4 p.m. The program is included in regular admission ($5 adults; $4 seniors; $2.50 students ages 2 to 12).
The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum is housed in the historic Allan Herschell Company Factory building at 180 Thompson St., North Tonawanda.
