New York's leading small business association, the National Federation of Independent Business, has endorsed State Sen. George Maziarz for re-election in the 62nd Senate district.

"George Maziarz has long been a staunch defender of small business in the Legislature," said NFIB/New York State Director Mike Durant. "Senator Maziarz has stood with small business to help enact the property tax cap, reduce energy costs, and enact two consecutive fiscally responsible budgets. We look forward to continuing to work with the senator to reduce the cost of doing business and put New York on the path to economic revitalization."

NFIB's political support is based on the candidate's position and record on small-business issues. Maziarz's endorsement comes from the NFIB/New York SAFE (Save America's Free Enterprise) Trust, the political action committee for NFIB/New York's membership. The endorsement puts the considerable grassroots support of the state's small businesses behind the Maziarz campaign.
