Niagara Business Familiarization Tour to showcase vast economic development opportunities in Niagara County

Extends registration deadline; free tour offers decision makers from Western New York and Southern Ontario a look at economic development highlights in Niagara County and first look at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute

Niagara County Economic Development Alliance, in conjunction with the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency and the Niagara County Center for Economic Development, is set to host the fourth annual Niagara USA Business Familiarization Tour from 3 to 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 13. The tour is designed to increase awareness among Western New York and Southern Ontario economic development and business decision makers regarding the vast opportunities for business development in Niagara County, N.Y.

The deadline to register for the free event has been extended to Sept. 6.

The tour will feature an up-close first look at the newly opened Niagara Falls Culinary Institute and a virtual tour in the institute's theater, which will include presenters from the various economic development agencies in Niagara County discussing the business benefits and economic development opportunities throughout Niagara County and showcasing examples of recent successful developments. Following the virtual tour, guided tours of the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute will be provided.

Following the virtual tour associated with the Niagara USA Business Familiarization Tour, a guided downtown Niagara Falls walking tour will take place, featuring some of the Cataract City's newest developments and a preview of some new ones on the horizon. Sites that will be featured on the walking tour include the Giacamo boutique hotel and lofts, Hamister Hotel Site, Niagara Falls Conference and Event Center, and the Power City Building.

The tour is designed for Western New York and Southern Ontario economic development site decision makers in order to educate them on the vast business benefits, incentives and resources in Niagara County, while providing them with reasons and examples why they should consider Niagara County sites for future business locations and investment. The virtual and walking will concluded with a complimentary reception at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute.

The Niagara USA Business Familiarization Tour welcomes all interested commercial developers, realtors, attorneys, accountants, site selectors and other business leaders who are interested in Niagara County and learning more about the immense economic development opportunities in Niagara County.

The Niagara County Economic Development Alliance is the organizer of the Niagara Business Familiarization Tour. The NCEDA is a federation of all of the agencies and corporations having the growth of the business sector in Niagara County as a key element of their missions.

Niagara County Industrial Development Agency is a not-for-profit public benefit corporation established in 1972 by the Niagara County Legislature. Under the provisions of the New York Industrial Development Agency Act, the NCIDA is empowered to actively attract and develop economically sound commerce and industry, thereby fostering job opportunities, general prosperity, and economic welfare for all residents of Niagara County. The NCIDA utilizes a variety of financing, tax incentive, and job training programs to induce economic growth. Many of these programs can be employed individually to meet a specific need or assembled to form a comprehensive development package.
