On Thursday, Aug. 23, only, from noon to 8 p.m., the Niagara County SPCA will feature a pick your own adoption fee promotion just for the cats rescued from the recent Somerset hoarding case.

Most of them are spayed or neutered and ready to find their way into the arms of new owners. "The cats still have some healing to do, but we hope to see them do so in their new homes," said Amy Lewis, SPCA interim director. "This is their chance at the life they deserve to have. No adoption fee is too low or too high. Any adoption fee will be accepted."

The Niagara County SPCA is located at 2100 Lockport Road, Wheatfield.
