Broadcast features Olympic medal winners Aug. 13 through 16
Decathlete Ashton Eaton, the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team, swimmer Dana Vollmer and high jumper Erik Kynard to appear on "Late Show" this week
The "Late Show with David Letterman" goes for the gold when it features medal-winning U.S. Olympic athletes on the broadcast Monday, Aug. 13 through Thursday, Aug. 16 (11:35 p.m.) on CBS.
On Monday, Aug. 13, U.S. Olympic decathlon gold medalist Ashton Eaton, who also broke the world record in the event at the Olympic trials in June, visits the broadcast. As previously announced, the "Fab Five" gold medal-winning U.S. Women's Olympic Gymnastics team of Gabrielle Douglas, Jordyn Wieber, McKayla Maroney, Kyla Ross and Alexandra Raisman will talk with Letterman on Tuesday, Aug. 14. U.S. Women's Olympic swimmer Dana Vollmer, who took home three gold medals at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, winning two team golds and also breaking the world record in the 100-meter butterfly for an individual gold, talks about her victories on the broadcast Wednesday, Aug. 15. On Thursday, Aug. 16, Erik Kynard guests, who, in his Olympic debut, took home the silver medal for the U.S. in the men's high jump.
