The sixth annual Dave's Memorial Dice Run benefit, held July 21, netted $3,313 for the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co.'s "Ambulance Drive for Life."

This dice run is in remembrance of Dave Quarantillo, who lost his life in a motorcycle accident Sept. 10, 2006, on Route 104 in Clarkson. A resident of Lewiston, Dave was a 30-year employee of the Town of Lewiston Highway Department - and just months away from retirement.

Pictured from the check presentation, from right, are Dennis Brochey, Jen Duff (Dave's daughter), Lorene Quarantillo (Dave's wife) presenting check to Jimmy Pollow (president of the YVFC), Eric Wieland (YVFC chief), committee members Nicole Landers, Pamela May, Lisa Landers (back), Cathy Brochey (front), Darryl May, Tim Quarantillo and Mike Dell (on the motorcycle).

The committee would like to sincerely thank all those that attended this event and those that donated items to the basket and silent auctions. To date, committee members have donated more than $18,000 in David's memory.

The seventh annual ride date has been set for July 20, 2013.
