"Kitchen Boss" Returns to Seneca Niagara Casino

by Ashley Dilcher

Buddy Valastro, star of TLC's "Cake Boss" and "Kitchen Boss," demonstrated Italian-cooking to a sold-out crowd at the Seneca Niagara Casino Events Center on Saturday, Feb. 18.

The demonstration lasted about two hours and included a Q-and-A session with audience members.

Valastro was joined on stage by his cousin, Frankie (Frank Amato Jr.), who is also featured on "Cake Boss" and "Kitchen Boss."

Recipes included bruschetta, garlic egg plant parmesan and rice pudding. The demonstration was Valastro's second appearance at Seneca Niagara Casino.

Most audience members asked questions regarding "Cake Boss" rather than "Kitchen Boss," but no question went unanswered.

One thing is for sure, do not go and see Valastro on an empty stomach, because the food smells amazing!

Valastro did a great job demonstrating what goes into each meal, which had many audience members taking out their phones to jot down the ingredients.

Valastro is much like the "boss" seen on television, as most of the demonstration was spent ordering around his cousin.

The show ended with an engagement made by a man whom Valastro said won a Facebook give-a-way to ask the "last question of the night."

It was touching, and Valastro seemed excited to join in on the special moment.

By the way, she said "yes!"

The demonstration, altogether, was well worth the $25 ticket.

Upcoming events at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel include The Larry Carlton Trio on Feb. 25; Regis Philbin on March 2; Buckwheat Zydeco on March 3; Jim Messina on March 9; Adbacadabra on March 17; Bill Engvall on March 24; and Mary Wilson of the Supremes on March 31.
