New York State Sen. Mark Grisanti will hold his first-ever "Listening Tour" beginning on Grand Island next Thursday, Jan. 13, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Grand Island Knights of Columbus hall, 1841 Whitehaven Road.

Less than three months ago, on Election Day (Nov. 2, 2010), Grisanti was elected to the 60th District seat in the State Senate.

"Without the people of Grand Island, it could not have been done," Grisanti said. "The first people I want to hear from are the people of Grand Island. My interests are fulfilling the hopes of Western New York and I refuse to take marching orders from party bosses in New York City. People want change, things are going to change and I thank the people of Grand Island for making it possible."

All are invited. The "Listening Tour" will be an opportunity for Grand Island's representative in Albany to hear constituent questions about what is important to them in state government. There is no admission to attend the event, which is open to the public.
