The following incidents occurred Monday, Sept. 6, to Sunday, Sept. 12, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. A total of 76 calls were answered by the LPD during this period.

Monday, Sept. 6

  • 800 block of Pletcher Road, criminal mischief complaint. Statement taken by a 31-year-old male regarding damage to a vehicle by juvenile suspects. Report filed.
  • Swann Road, fight roadside. Patrol spoke with a 37-year-old female and a 39-year-old female. The 39-year-old was given a ride to an address on the 900 block of Pletcher Road.
  • 1500 block of Colonial Drive, aggravated harassment complaint. Statement taken from a 31-year-old female regarding a female suspect. Call handled by patrol.
  • 1200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, third party call of a domestic. Call handled by State Police.
  • 1000 block of Saunders Settlement Road, unwanted person. Party left without incident.
  • 900 block of Pletcher Road, check welfare/mental health call. Patrol spoke with a 42-year-old male and reports a 39-year-old female was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center by Rural Metro ambulance.

Tuesday, Sept. 7

  • 5300 block of Military Road, recovered property. Patrol reports a confiscated handgun was turned over by a 40-year-old male. Investigation to continue; report filed.
  • 4600 block of North Fifth Street, check the welfare. All secure.
  • 500 block of Grove Street, domestic. Statement taken from a 43-year-old female regarding a 46-year-old male. Report filed.
  • Unspecified location, aggravated harassment complaint. Statement taken from a 34-year-old female regarding a 62-year-old female. Investigation to continue; report filed.
  • 700 block of Chicora Road, burglary/larceny complaint. Statement taken from an 84-year-old male who reported jewelry stolen from a residence. Investigation to continue; report filed.
  • Irving Drive, suspicious person. Patrol spoke with a 51-year-old male who was reported in town doing research at Niagara University for a few days. No problems reported.
  • 800 block of Cayuga Street, criminal mischief complaint. Statement taken from a 58-year-old female; investigation to continue. Report filed.

Wednesday, Sept. 8

  • South Third and Cayuga streets, domestic incident. Patrol spoke with a female and male, both 20 years old. No further details.
  • 5000 block of Dana Drive, burglary complaint. Statement taken from a 41-year-old male regarding a 42-year-old female. No further details.
  • Niagara County Community College, H Building, assist. Patrol assisted Niagara County Sheriffs with a possible domestic. No further details.
  • 700 block of Cayuga Street, check the welfare. Patrol reported no problems with a female.
  • 4800 block of West Eddy Drive, check the welfare. Patrol reported a 51-year-old male dialed in a complaint asking for food.
  • 900 block of Center Street, two-car accident. Statements taken from both drivers; both vehicles towed. Report filed.
  • 5200 block of Bridgeman Road, prowler complaint. Patrol checked the area with negative results.
  • 1500 block of Ridge Road, check the welfare. Patrol spoke with a 61-year-old female regarding a 22-year-old female. Patrol reported the 22-year-old subject, listed as highly intoxicated, went into nearby woods and threatened harm to herself. Subject located by patrol and taken by Lewiston No. 1 Volunteer Fire EMS responders to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center on a mental health response. Subject also found in possession of a hypodermic needle and charged by patrol. Appearance ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

Thursday, Sept. 9

  • 1100 block of Saunders Settlement Road, prowler complaint. Homeowner reports hearing noises; patrol checked and found all secure.
  • 2400 block of Lower Mountain Road, Bond Lake Park, suspicious vehicle. Patrol located and sent on its way. Patrol cleared.
  • 4900 block of Creek Road, juvenile problem. Patrol spoke with a 52-year-old female regarding a 14-year-old male who wouldn't go to bed and was smoking. Resolved by patrol.
  • 900 block of Pletcher Road, officer requested on a check welfare call for a child. All secure.
  • 600 block of Sara Court, alarm response. All appeared secure; no key holder on location. Report filed.
  • Ridge Road, two-car accident. Statements taken from both drivers; no further details. Report filed.
  • 1000 block of Saunders Settlement Road, domestic incident. Patrol reported State Police handled the call; Lewiston No. 2 Volunteer Fire Co. EMS transported a 40-year-old male on a mental health response.

Friday, Sept. 10

  • 900 block of Balmer Road, assist. Patrol reports assisting NCSD on an assault complaint. No further details.
  • 2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, larceny complaint at a gas/convenience business. Patrol reported its investigation as pending on information/evidence expected from the complainant.
  • Center Street, vehicle/traffic stop. Patrol reported the arrest of a 26-year-old male on disorderly conduct charges. Suspect arraigned at Porter Town Court; bail of $250 assigned and suspect remanded to Niagara County Jail. Report filed.
  • 1500 block of Upper Mountain Road, property-damage accident. Two vehicles towed; Lewiston No. 2 on location; no further details. Report filed.
  • 800 block of Center Street, two-car property-damage accident. Statements taken from both drivers and one witness. Patrol reports the 17-year-old female driver of vehicle No. 1 was cited for being an unlicensed operator. Uniform traffic ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.
  • 4400 block of Dickersonville Road, custody dispute. Statements taken from a 38-year-old female and a 36-year-old male. Patrol reported the female complainant did not have the proper paperwork from the courts. Report filed.

Saturday, Sept. 11

  • Niagara University, alcohol overdose. Patrol reports Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co. EMS transported a female for treatment. Patrol cleared.
  • 800 block of Pletcher Road, AED response/possible harassment complaint. Patrol reported a male with a diabetic reaction; Subject transported by Lewiston No. 1 EMS for treatment. Patrol cleared.
  • 800 block of Center Street, report of a possible fight at a bar/restaurant. Patrol spoke with a 23-year-old female regarding a male. Female instructed by patrol to sober up and return to LPD in the morning for a statement.
  • 440 block of Baker Drive, dog complaint. Patrol checked with negative results. LPD advised on a second call that the dog stops barking when patrol is in the area. Area checked again with negative results.
  • 100 block of South Eighth Street, fight complaint. Patrol advised of 20 to 25 people fighting in a parking lot. Subjects gone on patrol's arrival.
  • Ridge and Creek roads, two-vehicle person property-damage accident. Statements taken from both drivers; no injuries or tows. Report filed.
  • 220 block of Saunders Settlement Road, suspicious vehicles. Patrol advised of a red truck and silver Ford Explorer involved in a possible drug deal. Vehicles gone on patrol's arrival.
  • Center Street, hit-run accident. Statement taken from the driver of vehicle No. 1; vehicle No. 2 unknown and left the scene. Report filed.
  • I-190, report of a driver headed southbound in the northbound traffic lane. Call handled by State Police.
  • Garlow and Saunders Settlement roads, check for suspicious person. Subject gone on arrival.
  • 900 block of North Hewitt Drive, check 911 call. Nothing showing.
  • Military Road at the I-190, two-car accident. Statements taken from both drivers. Report filed.
  • Mount St. Mary's Hospital ER, intoxicated juvenile. Patrol reports the mother of an 18-year-old male was coming to pick him up. Call addressed.
  • 900 block of Center Street, harassment/criminal contempt complaint at a supermarket business. Statement taken from a 17-year-old female regarding a 19-year-old male. Investigation to continue.
  • 900 block of Pletcher Road, check welfare/party left. Patrol reported a 39-year-old female was intoxicated; all otherwise OK.

Sunday, Sept. 12

  • Seton Hall on the NU campus, two intoxicated individuals. Patrol reported Upper Mountain EMS on location; all OK.
  • 400 block of North Second Street, check 911 call. All OK; phone problems.
  • Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, AED call. Upper Mountain EMS on location.
  • 2400 block of Saunders Settlement Road, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from driver of vehicle No. 1 and owner of vehicle No. 2 which was parked. Driver No. 1, a 31-year-old male, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation. Uniform traffic ticket issued and Lewiston Town Court date assigned. Report filed.
  • Modern landfill, vehicle fire. Lewiston No. 1 on location; statement taken from a 42-year-old male. Report to be filed.
  • 4400 block of Dickersonville Road, custody dispute. Patrol reported the male involved left on its arrival. Female complainant stated that everything was fine and she did not wish to file a report.
  • 2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, patrol follow-up on a larceny complaint at a gas/convenience business. No further details.
  • Tuscarora Street, attempt to locate reckless driver. Vehicle located and plate number logged; all OK.
