Ten Lives Club searching for chili cook-off contestants

The Ten Lives Club cat adoption group is looking for chili contestants for its annual chili cook-off fundraiser Sunday, Jan. 22.

Organizers said, “Looking to share your chili recipe? Do you have a unique chili to share? Sign-up to be a contestant for Ten Lives Club’s Chili Cook-Off!

“Whether you have a secret recipe, family gathering favorite, or extra-spicy base, Ten Lives Club welcomes all chilis! By entering the contest, you have a chance to win a money prize for Best Chili, Best Vegetarian Chili and Best Decorated Table.”

There is a category for “Best Restaurant Chili,” as all restaurants and businesses are encouraged to enter their chili in the contest. Everyone who participates will receive a gift. Their entrance into the event is free, as well as one guest per contestant.

Each contestant must bring their own crock pot filled with their chili, along with a ladle for serving. Ten Lives Club will provide the bowls, spoons, and bread and butter.

The event will be held from 12:30-3 p.m. at Woodlawn Fire Co., located at 3281 Lakeshore Road, Blasdell.
