Buffalo-Niagara Buddy Walk is Sept. 10

Join the Down Syndrome Association of Niagara on its 24th Buffalo-Niagara Buddy Walk on Saturday, Sept. 10.

Registration will take place from 9-10:30 a.m. at Fourth and Ridge streets. Organizers stated, “We will be walking in the Lewiston Peach Festival parade, which begins at 11 a.m.”

The Discover Niagara Trolley will transport anyone unable to walk the route.

Cost is $10 per person, which includes a limited amount of ride tickets for registered walkers under 18, along with Hibbard’s Original Frozen Custard tickets.

Cash or checks payable to the Down Syndrome Association of Niagara will be accepted.

No new shirts are available for sale. Instead, lime green shirts will be worn.

There will be no pizza party this year.

Organizers added, “This is an all-inclusive event. Bring your family and friends to join us in ‘Taking Steps For a Brighter Future!’ Information can be seen on our Facebook site, Down Syndrome Association of Niagara, Inc.”
