Wild Kritters is holding its annual basket raffle on Sunday, June 5, at the 3F Conservation Club, 904 Swann Road, Youngstown. Tickets go on sale at noon with the drawing beginning at 4 p.m. There will be hundreds of baskets and gift cards, as well as large-ticket items available.

Tickets are $5 a sheet for gift cards and regular baskets; $2 each or three for $5 for large raffle baskets. Live music will be provided by EB Michael, and local artist Kat Segovia will host “Art with Kids” throughout the event. Food, beverage and baked goods will be available for sale. Educational animals will also be available for viewing.

This year, Wild Kritters is supporting Feathers of Love, a nonprofit dedicated to helping mankind. Purchase a sheet of regular tickets, bring three nonperishable (human) food items, and receive one free sheet of regular tickets. This is limited to one offer per family.

Wild Kritters, a nonprofit organization that rehabilitates injured and orphaned wildlife, receives hundreds of calls from concerned community members about wildlife. Incorporated in 2008, Wild Kritters is completely volunteer-based.

“We do this out of love and need” founder Kathleen Britton said. “We began with four rehabbers coming together for a common purpose, and look how we grew! The only way we can continue our mission is with the support of the community. We receive no government funding, and rely completely on fundraising to pay for the care, food, caging and vet bills of those animals needing assistance. ”
