With the rainout this past Friday night, Ransomville Speedway will try again and open the gates for the first time in 2021 on Friday, May 14, with the running of the Mackenzie Kulesza Memorial for the Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks. The 36-lap event is in honor of Mackenzie Kulesza, the 11-year-old who died tragically following a car accident in November 2020.

Prior to the race, a Chinese auction will take place behind the grandstands, with proceeds benefiting Mercy Flight. Some of the items include autograph memorabilia and collectibles from NASCAR Hall of Famers Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Tony Stewart, as well as current superstars Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch; apparel from various drivers from across the region, including multitime Ransomville winner Brett Hearn; and a $200 golf package from Willowbrook Golf Course.

For the drivers, a lap sponsorship program and other contingencies will be handed out in hopes of making this race the most prestigious four-cylinder mini-stock race in New York. Currently, the venue has more than $2,800 in lap money and over $1,000 in contingencies. Look for drivers representing tracks all over the region to come to Ransomville and compete in this race.

A full Ransomville racing program of Krown Undercoating Modifieds, Investor’s Service Sportsman, KiPo Motors Street Stocks and Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman will all be on the card. All of these features will see the drivers that set quick time during “Test, Tune, and Time” start on the front row for the first points race of the season this coming Friday night.

Cole Susice and Matt Hornquist, who set quick time during “Test, Tune, and Time” will start on the front row for the May 21 feature event for the Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks.

Pit gates will open at 5 p.m. with grandstands opening at 6 p.m. Racing will begin at 7:15 p.m. The race will be streamed on DirtTrackDigest.tv. A link to purchase the stream will be available on www.RansomvilleSpeedway.com and on Ransomville’s social media pages.
