'Pooch Perfect,' 'Rebel,' 'Home Economics' stars of ABC's Winter TCA Press Tour

The first day of ABC’s Winter TCA Press Tour panels featured Q&As with the stars and executive producers of the upcoming dog-grooming competition series “Pooch Perfect,” hosted by Rebel Wilson; and the new drama “Rebel,” inspired by the life of Erin Brockovich today and starring Katey Sagal.

In the first ABC panel of the day, “Pooch Perfect” host and executive producer Wilson was joined by fellow executive producers Elan Gale and Sonya Wilkes, as well as the show’s trio of all-star celebrity judges – Lisa Vanderpump, Jorge Bendersky and Dr. Callie Harris – to discuss what to expect from this fun and heart-warming eight-episode series, which premieres Tuesday, March 30 (8-9 p.m. ET/PT).

Next up was a Q&A with the ensemble cast of “Rebel,” led by Katey Sagal as Annie “Rebel” Bello, with John Corbett as Grady Bello, James Lesure as Benji, Lex Scott Davis as Cassidy, Tamala Jones as Lana, Ariela Barer as Ziggy, Kevin Zegers as Nate, Sam Palladio as Luke and Andy Garcia as Cruz. Creator and executive producer Krista Vernoff and executive producer (and real-life “Rebel” inspiration) Erin Brockovich. The new series premieres Thursday, April 8 (10-11 p.m. ET/PT).

ABC wrapped up its Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour Friday with the cast and executive producers of the upcoming new comedy “Home Economics,” starring Topher Grace, who also serves as an executive producer. Joining him on the panel were writers and executive producers Michael Colton and John Aboud, and series stars Caitlin McGee, Jimmy Tatro, Karla Souza and Sasheer Zamata.

“Home Economics” takes a look at the heartwarming yet super uncomfortable and sometimes frustrating relationship between three adult siblings: one in the 1%, one middle-class and one barely holding on. The comedy is inspired by the life of writer and executive producer Michael Colton.

“Home Economics” premieres Wednesday, April 7 (8:30-9 p.m.).
