The Aquarium of Niagara is offering its lowest admission rates of the year over Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend. With every full-price admission purchased, visitors can purchase a second admission for just $7.16. This is a 64% discount off the cost of a full-price adult admission.

The promotion runs daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, through Monday, Jan. 18, at the Aquarium of Niagara, 701 Whirlpool St., Niagara Falls.

Tickets must be booked online in order to receive the promotion. Full-price admission for adults is $19.95; for children (12 and under), it’s $14.95; and for seniors (60-plus), it’s $17.95.

A press release stated, “As the only aquarium within 250 miles in the United States, the Aquarium of Niagara believes it’s important to make our programs, events and educational resources accessible to all members of the community. Despite suffering a nearly $1 million revenue loss during our COVID-19 related closure, the aquarium believes it is important to promote accessibility and provide a welcoming atmosphere for all as a quality-of-life asset and educational resource for the community.

“In 2020, the aquarium welcomed more than 4,000 people during a ‘716 Days’ weekend. Due to current COVID-19 related restrictions, the aquarium its operating at 25% capacity and using a timed-ticketing system to manage visitor traffic. Guests are required to book tickets online ahead of their visit to take advantage of the ‘716 Days’ promotion.
