ABC is fall's No. 1 entertainment net in adults 18-49

Network’s first win in 5 years; ABC ranks as most-watched entertainment network for first time in 20 years

ABC Primetime (9/21-12/20/20 – National Most Current Program Ratings):

Excluding sports programming, ABC ranks as the No. 1 entertainment network for fall 2020 among adults 18-49 (1.0/6), leading FOX by 11% (0.9/5), NBC by 25% (0.8/5) and CBS by 43% (0.7/4), and marking the first time ABC has ranked No. 1 during the fall in five years – since the 2015-16 season. ABC is also the season’s No. 1 entertainment network in total viewers (5.1 million) for the first time in 20 years – since the 2000-01 season.

√ ABC ranked or tied as the No. 1 entertainment broadcast network in nine of the 13 weeks of the season to date in adults 18-49, up from its two weekly wins at this point last season.

√ ABC stood as the No. 1 entertainment network for fall on four of the seven days of the week among adults 18-49: Monday (1.1/6), Tuesday (1.5/9), Thursday (1.3/8-tie) and Friday (0.6/4).

√ ABC claimed two of the fall’s top 5 entertainment programs with adults 18-49, tying NBC for the most: “Grey’s Anatomy” (2.2/13) – No. 3 and “The Bachelorette” (1.8/10) – No. 4.

√ ABC delivered five of the season’s top 10 scripted programs among adults 18-49, tying NBC for the most: “Grey’s Anatomy” (2.2/13) – No. 2, “Station 19” (1.4/8) – No. 6. “Big Sky” (1.3/9), “The Good Doctor” (1.3/8) and “The Conners” (1.3/7) tie for No. 7.

√ ABC had 2 of the top four comedies in adults 18-49, including the No. 1 comedy: “The Conners” (1.3/7) – No. 1 and “The Goldbergs” (1.1/6) – No. 4.

√ ABC delivered the No. 1 series in the 10 p.m. hour this season on Monday with “The Good Doctor” (1.3/8), on Tuesday with “Big Sky” (1.3/9) and on Thursday with “A Million Little Things” (1.2/8), among adults 18-49.

√ ABC claimed two of the top three new series this fall with adults 18-49, including the No. 1 new series: “Big Sky” (1.3/9) – No. 1 (tie) and “Supermarket Sweep” (1.0/5) – No. 3.

√ ABC’s “The Bachelorette” ranked as the No. 1 show on TV among women 18-34 (2.5/20).
