The St. Francis Guild and Board of Associates of Mount St. Mary’s Hospital have joined together to present, “Spotlight on Niagara,” a raffle to thank community businesses for their support of the hospital in 2020. The raffle features gift card giveaways to over 30 local businesses that donated to Mount St. Mary’s at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and is being held in lieu of the groups’ annual fundraisers. The Tony Guthrie Pancake Breakfast and the Pink Elephant Basket Auction were both canceled due to the pandemic.

“The Board of Associates and St. Francis Guild are thrilled to collaborate on this unique raffle,” said Robert Ingrasci, treasurer of the board of associates and chairperson for the “Spotlight on Niagara” raffle. “When we learned of the many Niagara County businesses that donated to the hospital, we wanted to give back to them, while also supporting the hospital as we would have done for our annual events. The added bonus to this initiative are the great prizes four lucky winners will receive.”

$1,100 in gift cards from local businesses round out the four prizes for the raffle. That includes $250 to DiMino Tops and $100 to Tim Hortons as two of the prizes. Not only did Anthony DiMino of Tops and Bob Burns of Tim Hortons support the hospital during the pandemic, but they are also key supporters of the pancake breakfast. The raffle also includes two prize bundles each valued at $375, consisting of 30 $25 gift cards to local restaurants.

Tickets are being sold for $10 each or three for $20. Proceeds from the raffle support Mount St. Mary’s through initiatives of the board of associates and St. Francis Guild. The drawing takes place Dec. 10. Those interested in purchasing tickets can visit the board of associates Facebook page, email [email protected], or call 716-298-2143.
