Obituary: Robert C. Miller

Robert C. (“Bob”) Miller of Fillmore, New York, a former longtime resident of Ferry Village on Grand Island, passed away on Sept. 21, 2020, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville after a brief illness.

He was born Aug. 22, 1945, in Buffalo, the son of the late Marie Helenbrook Miller and Carl (survived by Miriam) Miller.

Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968. Upon his discharge from the U.S. Army, Bob made welding his career. Bob loved to tinker and fix things, especially classic cars.

Bob is survived by his wife of 20 years, Rhonda Miller, of Fillmore, and his step-children and step-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Dyann Wolf of the Town of Tonawanda; Caroline Miller of Rochester; and Gretchen (Howard) Eichhorn of Pendleton; and many wonderful nieces and nephews that Bob loved dearly. He also leaves behind many dear friends who will miss him tremendously.

A private burial service will be held at the Bath National Veterans Cemetery in Bath, New York, at the convenience of the family. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a remembrance of Bob’s life will be held during Memorial Day 2021 weekend in Fillmore.
