Coronavirus stats for Sept. 28

Niagara County

The Niagara County Department of Health issued the following update on positive COVID-19 cases in Niagara County:

• 11 new positive cases since Friday morning, for a total of 1,760 positives to date (isolations + recoveries + deaths)
• 67 active cases (65 isolating at home, 2 in a hospital)
• 1,592 recovered
• 101 deaths
• 92,079 people tested, with less than 2% positive (source: https://covid19tracker.health.ny.gov/)

Erie County

As of Sunday, Erie County had 17 new positive coronavirus tests and a yearly total of 11,243 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 162 on Grand Island and 5,265 in the City of Buffalo). To date, 397,664 people have been tested (2.8% positive), with 693 deaths attributed to the coronavirus. Also, 86,393 people have taken an antibody test (6.7% positive).
