The Community Action Organization of WNY (CAO) and its Head Start staff will host curbside spaghetti dinner pick-up events for parents and families from 2-4 p.m. Friday, April 17. CAO and the WNY Community Response Fund have sponsored 1,500 spaghetti dinners to be distributed.

Families enrolled in the Head Start program have already been contacted and will pick up their meals at three locations across Western New York listed below.

  • Defrancesco Academy, 901 24th St., Niagara Falls
  • Ferry Academy, 909 E. Ferry, Buffalo
  • St. Hyacinth's Academy, 257 Ridge Road, Lackawanna

Families without transportation will have their meals delivered by volunteers. Families being served reside across Western New York, from the northern area of Niagara County in Newfane to the most southern areas in Erie County such as Gowanda and Springville.

The Community Action Organization of WNY was designated in 1965 as the official anti-poverty agency for Erie County with a mission to serve the unmet needs of the low-income population. CAO serves more than 50,000 families and individuals throughout Erie and Niagara counties through a variety of programs and services. Visit caowny.org for more information.
