Just Buffalo Literary Center is currently accepting applications for its 2020 poetry fellowship, open to adult poets of all ages and career stages. The fellowship award includes a $1,500 honorarium; month-long residency in Buffalo this August; and the opportunity to read in Just Buffalo’s acclaimed “SILO CITY Reading Series” on Aug. 22.

“Buffalo is one of America’s most vibrant cities with a thriving arts scene, and we look forward to inviting our 2020 poetry fellow to live, write and be inspired here,” said Barbara Cole, Just Buffalo’s artistic and associate executive director. “The fellowship seeks not only to advance the career of the winning poet, but also to raise the city’s visibility for poets at a national level.”

The deadline for applications is April 30. The winner will be announced in early June. Fellowship details, application guidelines and eligibility requirements are available at justbuffalo.org.
