Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western New York (RMHCWNY) announced it has received a $10,000 grant from Richs Products. The grant funded the refresh of the kitchen at the Buffalo Ronald McDonald House on West Ferry Street.

“The kitchen is the heart of our home. It is where our guest families gather, enjoy meals, snacks and conversation,” Executive Director Sally Vincent said. “We are delighted and very grateful for our partnership with Rich's. Their grant has funded a total refresh of our kitchen, which includes the replacement of all small appliances (beverage cooler, ice-maker, convection oven, toasters, coffee maker), and the replacement of all cookware, flatware, cutlery, bakeware, glassware, plates, etc.

“We could not be more excited about this refresh. Our kitchen is accessible to our guest families 24/7. The new additions help us to continue to meet the needs of our guest families and wonderful ‘Cooks for Kids’ volunteers who prepare meals each day for our families. The support of partners like Rich's enable us to continue to provide the services that make our Buffalo House a home away from home.”

“As an anchor in the Western New York community for nearly 75 years, we’re always looking for ways to give back and better our communities,” said Howard Rich, vice president of corporate relations, Rich Products. “We’re proud to support the important and meaningful work of Ronald McDonald House. As a global food company, we know kitchens well. Creating the environment for families to achieve that ‘home away from home’ feel in the kitchen is just one small thing we can do to help support them during their times of need.”
