Ron White headed to Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino; Rita Coolidge to perform in Bear's Den

The summer entertainment lineup at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino keeps heating up, with the announcement Ron White will perform in the Seneca Niagara Events Center at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 13. Tickets go on sale this Friday at noon.

White is a comedy legend who rose to fame as part of the “Blue Collar Comedy Tour.” Known as the scotch-drinking, cigar-smoking funnyman “who had the right to remain silent, but lacked the ability,” White has built a career by telling brutally honest stories brimming with punch lines and bursting with laughs. His popular stand-up routines have earned him Grammy nominations; a Gold record; three top-rated, one-hour comedy specials; a book on the New York Times Best Seller List; and CD and DVD sales in the tens of millions. New Shows Announced for Bear’s Den Showroom

The Bear’s Den Showroom inside Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino welcomes Rita Coolidge on Friday, July 12 (8 p.m.); Mark Wills on Thursday, July 18 (8 p.m.); “The Highwaymen Live: A Musical Tribute” on Saturday, July 20 (8 p.m.); and “Fairchild Blues Tribute” on Saturday, July 27 (8 p.m.). Tickets go on sale at noon on Friday.

Coolidge is one of the most enduring and indelible vocal talents to come from the California music movement of the 1970s. After starting her career as a background singer, she soon became a star in her own right, earning multiple Grammy Awards with then-husband Kris Kristofferson. This helped pave the way for Coolidge’s solo success. In the late ’70s, she charted four consecutive Top 25 hits, including “(You Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher,” “We’re All Alone,” “The Way You Do The Things You Do” and “You.” Coolidge later scored a hit with “All Time High,” the theme from the James Bond film “Octopussy.” Tickets start at $55.

Wills was a country music hit-making machine from the mid-1990s through the early 2000s, charting a total of 19 Top 40 singles. His most memorable songs include a pair or No. 1 singles, “Wish You Were Here” and “19 Somethin’,” along with “I Do (Cherish You),” “Don’t Laugh at Me,” “Jacob’s Ladder” and “Back at One,” among others. Wills earned the Academy of Country Music Award for Top New Male Vocalist in 1999, and was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry earlier this year. Tickets start at $45.

“The Highwaymen Live: A Musical Tribute” pays homage to one of the biggest collaborations in country music history. The Highwaymen brought together the legendary talents, voices and music of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kristofferson, and immediately took country music by storm with a brand of “Outlaw” music. The group released three albums and enjoyed success with hit songs “Highwayman,” “Desperados Waiting for a Train,” “Big River,” “Silver Stallion” and “The Devil’s Right Hand.” Tickets start at $45.

“Fairchild Blues Tribute” has entertained audiences worldwide with a remarkable Blues Brothers tribute show. Along with uncanny resemblances to the stars of the classic comedy movie, Fairchild Blues Tribute turns up the energy with slick dance moves, witty banter with the audience, and, of course, rhythm and blues hits from across generations.
