Thievery Corporation added to 'Tuesdays in the Park' at Artpark

World-renowned electronic music group Thievery Corporation is set to perform on Aug. 6 at the Artpark Outdoor Amphitheater as part of “Tuesdays in the Park” presented by M&T Bank.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.

Thievery Corporation is a pioneering electronic music duo consisting of Rob Garza and Eric Hilton. Their musical style mixes elements of dub, acid jazz, reggae, Indian classical, Middle Eastern, hip-hop, electronica and Brazilian, including bossa nova.

Thievery Corporation have been thriving for more than 20 years, operating their own independent label since day one and collaborating with such uniquely famed artists as David Byrne, Perry Farrell and The Flaming Lips. They have headlined top music festivals such as Coachella and Lollapalooza, and influenced a whole generation of electronic producers and DJs.

Tickets for the 6:30 p.m. show range from $38 for front-of-stage (standing-room-only), reserved seating and general admission bowl; to $19 (advance/$24 week of show) general admission lawn.

The Thievery Corporation concert joins these previously announced “Tuesdays in the Park” shows: Sammy Hagar’s “Full Circle Jam” Tour (June 4); Earth, Wind & Fire (July 16); “Weird Al” Yankovic: “The Strings Attached” Tour (July 23); Bad Company (Aug. 20); and Foreigner (Aug. 27).
