The North Tonawanda Youth, Recreation and Parks Department along with the Gateway Committee is sponsoring its annual Haunted Harbor on Saturday, Oct. 13.
From 6-8 p.m., children can make their way down to the T-NT Gateway Park and trick or treat their way around the harbor, which will include some spooky decorated boats.
Children and families will have a safe, fun-filled time on both sides of the canal.  On the North Tonawanda side, children will enjoy free apples, Halloween themed activities, games, stations and free zombie face painting. Canned goods for the Western New York Food Bank will be collected on the NT side by the zombies.
On the Tonawanda side, children will enjoy fun activities, treat stations, trunk or treating, a spooky haunted bridge and food trucks.
Friendly and spooky characters will be staffed throughout the park. Parents and children are encouraged to wear a costume and join the fun. The community is encouraged to come out and enjoy the free event.
