The Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce will host a miniature golf tournament at Academy Park in the Village of Lewiston on Thursday, July 19. The tournament will feature 18 holes of miniature golf in a scramble format.
Check-in starts at 5 p.m., with a "shotgun start" at 5:30 p.m. Registrants will enjoy contests, and a picnic all-you-can-eat dinner buffet, rain or shine.
Due to the popular demand, there will be two flights to compete - one at 5:30 and a second at 7:30 p.m.
Chamber Event Manager Caitlin Fager helped create the new event with the assistance of the membership committee. This was done as a way to get more members involved.
"The miniature golf tournament is a new event that is replacing our annual golf tournament we generally have each summer. Anyone can play miniature golf, so we are excited about giving more people the opportunity to participate," she said.
Chamber members also will have the opportunity to showcase their business or organization with a display table, creating a networking element to the evening activities.
Registration is required for participation in golf, dinner or setting up a business table.
Foursome teams can register by calling 716-754-9500. The cost is $200 per team.
If you don't have a team but would like to participate, the chamber will find one for you! Dinner-only is $25 per person (pre-sale registrations required).
Event and tee hole sponsorships are available.
