The Art of Beer is one of the largest fundraisers of the year for the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center. The 12th annual event is set for 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 9, at 1201 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls.
This year's Art of Beer will have a strong Lewiston connection, as nearly a half-dozen merchants will line the former Niagara Falls High School gymnasium. Included will be the Brickyard (Brickyard Pub & B.B.Q., the Brickyard Brewing Company, Tin Pan Alley and Center Cut: The Village Steakhouse), the Village Bake Shoppe, Brewed and Bottled Craft Beer, and Sgt. Peppers Hot Sauces, Etc.
The Brickyard is pouring "White Bronco" New England IPA and "Bustle In Your Hedgerow" German pilsner. Brewed and Bottled will offer a mango jalapeƱo hot sauce-infused version of the BBC's "White Bronco," in partnership with Sgt. Peppers, plus a cookies and cream variant of the BBC's Gary Arthur milk stout. The Village Bake Shoppe, meanwhile, is preparing cupcakes infused with the cookies and cream milk stout.
In total, the Art of Beer will offer guests more than 75 tasting choices from 30-plus breweries and almost a dozen eateries.
Live music will be provided by WhatheFolk, Bobby Skrzypek and The Pedestrians, PANGEA, Rad Bromance and Billy Draws 2.
Advance tickets are $35 and can be purchased online at
www.theNACC.org or in person at Brewed and Bottled, 402 Center St., Lewiston. Art of Beer admission at the door is $40. For more information, visit
www.theNACC.org or the event page on Facebook.
All Art of Beer proceeds will benefit the NACC, a Niagara Falls venue that provides cultural experiences for the public, and training in classical music, fine art, dance and theater. NACC students and artists perform in-house and throughout the region.
