Niagara Arts Guild schedules first meeting of 2018

The Niagara Arts Guild will meet at the Dale Center at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19. The group, celebrating its 70th year, will have a demonstration of the drawing and painting of hair (human and animal) by President Nicole Milley.
 Milley is a self-taught artist who specializes in visual arts with charcoal, graphite and watercolor. A Wilson resident, Milley works and teaches at her studio at ART247 in Lockport. She actively participates in art activities in Buffalo, Lockport and Wilson, and has lent her talents to the renovation of Shea's Buffalo. A member of the Impact Art Gallery, Wilson Art Society, Buffalo Niagara Art Association and the Niagara Arts Guild, she also helps in the PTA art initiatives at Wilson Elementary School and the Wilson Summer Art Show. Her work can be viewed at www.nikkimdesign.com. Her new solo exhibition, titled "Stories," will soon be available.
The Dale Center is located at 33 Ontario Ave., Lockport. It is handicapped-accessible. The Niagara Arts Guild meets in Room 127, which is set up for mirrored demonstrations.
Refreshments will be served. Artists and art lovers are invited to attend.
