State Parks duck blind drawings announced

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation announced the annual duck blind drawings for Fort Niagara, Joseph Davis, Wilson Tuscarora and Golden Hill state parks have been scheduled. Drawings will take place at 6:30 p.m. sharp in the Fort Niagara Park maintenance building on Oct. 26; Nov. 2, 9, 16, 22, 30; Dec. 21, 28; and Jan. 4, 11, 2018.
Take note: "Blind 2" at Fort Niagara will be closed weekdays while construction work takes place on the south boat ramp.
To be eligible for a permit, hunters must have a current New York state small game license, a federal migratory bird stamp, and harvest information program (HIP) number, plus they must have successfully completed the New York state waterfowl identification course. A dog or boat for retrievals is also required.
