Pominville returning to Buffalo: Sabres acquire forward, D Scandella, from Wild

The Buffalo Sabres on Friday announced the team acquired defenseman Marco Scandella, forward Jason Pominville and a fourth-round pick in the 2018 NHL Draft from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for forwards Tyler Ennis and Marcus Foligno, and a third-round pick in 2018.
Pominville (age 34, 6'0", 181 pounds) re-joins the Sabres after spending the past four full seasons with the Wild. Since being acquired by Minnesota from the Sabres in April 2013, Pominville has totaled 206 points (76 goals, 130 assists) in 327 regular-season games, adding 23 points (9/14) in 36 postseason contests. Having appeared in parts of 14 seasons since being selected by the Sabres in the second round (55th overall) of the 2001 NHL Draft, the former Sabres captain has totaled 662 career points (261/401) in 905 regular-season games.
Selected by Minnesota in the second round (55th overall) of the 2008 NHL Draft, Scandella (age 27, 6'3", 208 pounds) recently completed his seventh NHL season with the Wild. A native of Montreal, Quebec, Scandella has recorded 89 points (27/62) in 373 career regular-season games with the Wild, with nine points (6/3) in 39 career playoff games.
