Whether it's splashing in the pool, exploring nature, learning a new skill, or going on field trips, summer camp at the YMCA provides an opportunity for children ages kindergarten to 17 years old to build meaningful relationships and gain important life skills.

There is still time to enroll a child in a YMCA summer camp experience. Summer camp at the Y provides a variety of activities and adventures beyond traditional day camp with specialty camps including arts and theater, gymnastics, mountain biking, Camp Tahigwa, and overnight resident camp at YMCA Camp Weona. New this year is a science, technology, engineering and math-inspired camp called "Mission Innovation" at the Southtowns Y.

With 19 locations to choose from, there is bound to be a Y camp near you this summer. Camp begins June 27 and runs through Sept. 2. To learn more or to register, visit www.ymcabn.org or call the nearest Y. For more information, call the association office at 716-565-6000.

Locally founded in 1852, YMCA Buffalo Niagara is a charitable, community-based organization committed to providing programs designed to build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
