Completed applications must be submitted by Friday, May 10
Assemblyman John Ceretto is again accepting applications in his district office for New York Conference of Italian-American State Legislators scholarships. The group will award four $1,500 scholarships - two academic and two athletic - to student applicants from around New York state.
Eligible applicants can be high school students planning to attend college in the fall, current undergraduate students or graduate students, and must reside in the 145th Assembly district.
"With the ever rising cost of college, it is becoming increasingly more important for students seeking a degree to find ways to pay for their education," Ceretto said. "These scholarships provide excellent students with the opportunity to receive higher education while not burdening themselves with as much debt."
Completed applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 10, at Ceretto's district office, 1700 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls. Scholarship applications will be evaluated based on students' academic and athletic achievements, as well as extracurricular service, community service and financial need.
One academic and one athletic scholarship application from Ceretto's district will be included in the final statewide selection process. Interested students may request an application by contacting Ceretto's district office at 716-282-6062 or by email [email protected].
