Old Falls Street announces concert lineup for 'WNY Sound Smash'

Free daylong concert features musical collaborations with newly formed Music Culture 716

This Memorial Day weekend, Old Falls Street, USA, is teaming up with the Arts Services Initiative of Western New York to present the inaugural "WNY Sound Smash," a unique collaborative concert with members of the newly formed Music Culture 716. Musicians include those from The Buffalo Gay Men's Chorus, the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus, The Colored Musicians Club, Music Is Art, and the Western New York Blues Society. This free Saturday concert will be presented from 1 to 7 p.m. on Old Falls Street's middle block. The concert schedule is as follows:

  • 1-1:30 p.m.: Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus
  • 1:40-2:10 p.m.: Music is Art: Grace Stumberg, The Brass Monkeez
  • 2:20-2:50 p.m.: Collaboration: Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus & The Brass Monkeez
  • 3-3:30 p.m.: Buffalo Gay Men's Chorus
  • 3:40-4:10 p.m.: Blues Society of WNY: Tommy Z.
  • 4:20-4:50 p.m.: Buffalo Music Hall of Fame: Taylor Made Jazz
  • 5-5:30 p.m.: BPO: Clara String Quartet
  • 5:40-6:10 p.m.: Colored Musicians Club: George Scott Big Band
  • 6:20-7 p.m.: Collaboration: George Scott Big Band, Tommy Z., & Taylor Made Jazz
