With the assistance of Ingram Micro, Rivershore Inc. was afforded the opportunity to install a universal kitchen at its Creek Road residence.

Last week, Ingram Micro representative Gerry Goris presented Rivershore Executive Director Jeff Sanderson with a ceremonial $42,000 check to celebrate the official opening of the new kitchen. The money, which was raised during Ingram Micro's 13th annual charity golf tournament, was previously donated and used this spring to install a new floor, an adaptable sink that raises and lowers to accommodate residents, rolling shelves, a front cluster panel stovetop and a tiered refrigerator.

In addition to the amenities, the kitchen is open and easily accessible for all 10 men and women living in the home - including anyone in a wheelchair.

Rivershore is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2010. The organization is a New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities COMPASS agency.

Ingram Micro is a wholesale provider of technology products and supply chain services.
