The committee organizing the annual Grand Island Father's Day Lawnmower Race & Classic Car Show met at Say Cheese on Love Road to work out the details for the annual event, a fundraiser for the Grand Island Relay For Life.

Sponsorships are still available for the annual event, which will take place Sunday, June 18, beginning at 9 a.m. with the Kevin Doring Memorial 5K Walk/Run for Relay For Life. The event will include live music, food trucks, a Kid Zone, and the Grand Island Lions Club Garage Sale.
Registration for the lawnmower races begins at 10 a.m. and ends at noon. Registration for the Kevin Doring Memorial 5K will begin at 9 a.m., with the start of the race at 10 a.m. A classic car show will take place from noon to 4 p.m. (Photo by Larry Austin)
